Montreal World Vegan Day Fashion Show Celebrates Compassion in Fashion
Montreal, Quebec – On November 1st models, designers, musicians and animal advocates come together to celebrate World Vegan Day. This annual event is organized by the Concordia Animal Rights Association (CARA) as a fun way to showcase fashion forward and ethical designs while raising funds for charity. This year proceeds will go to benefit Teja’s Animal Refuge and RR Refuge for horses.
Joining us is special guest Laurens De Groot from the hit reality series Whale Wars (#1 show on Animal Planet). When Laurens is not risking his life to protect animals with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society he travels the world speaking about animal rights (has appeared on Larry King Live several times).
Designs modelled on the runway include Vaute Couture from Chicago (which has been featured on Oprah and has several celebrity customers), Healing Heart Designs (Toronto), Lady Crossbones Accessories (Toronto), Sandra Claros (Paris), Cherry Berry Handbags (Montreal), Sea Shepherd (International) and Hoodlamb (Amsterdam) and Gourmet vegan catering is provided by Crudessence (crudessence.com) as well as the unique culinary creations of vegan caterer Marie-Geneviève Lamothe.
